When springtime brings its longer days
The sun will shine its stronger rays
And with the melting of the snow
Mountain waters begin to flow
Into the rivers and the streams
Exciting all kayakers' dreams
New buds abound upon the trees
The birds all singing in the breeze
Singing their song of the season
The joy of life is their reason
New beginnings are all around
By mother's side, all safe and sound
